The Big Knit

Hello my lovelies! I’m sure at some stage in your life you’ve all had an Innocent Smoothie. yes? delish. But this year, I heard of a little thing called “The Big Knit”. This is where you knit a little hat for an innocent smoothie bottle and send it off to the people at Innocent, and they will be-hat a bottle and send it out to the shops, where for every smoothie that’s bought, 25c will be donated to Age Action Ireland. I thought this was amazingly cool.

Now, how I came across this “Big Knit” is an odd tale. There happened to be only six people in my Home Ec class one day and our lovely teacher didn’t want to give a heavy workload to a mere six people- what a clever woman! So she produced knitting needles and a few balls of wool, and told us all about “The Big Knit” and taught us HOW to knit and here we are, in the blogosphere, as I record my journey through knitting-land! Yay!

First step- knit an awesome little mini hat using the instruction found HERE. Mine’s purple, naturally!

Good News and Bad News

Hello my lovelies! I suppose I should start with the bad news… I am going away for a while (I should be back blogging by Saturday) and I will have no to the internet! It will really make me think about how much I rely on the wonderweb. And also I shall probably think of all the different names I have for this wonderful interweb.

The good news! I am planning on doing my first set of outfit posts when I get back, and also sharing all the pictures from my holliers and the pictures from the Titanic Museum in Belfast where I shall be for 3 and1/2 hours on Friday. Yes, it really DOES take that amount of time! Also an update… PS- I Made That now has a facebook page!  (With a total of two likes so far, my aunt and my uncle. so help is needed here) And another update- I painted my nails… and am just about to write a DIY for my nail art. SO…. byeee!                                                                           annie xo

I Finished One….

1. Bake more. Cook more. Therefore, (luckily) EAT NICE THINGS!

2. Write more. Short stories, poems, what I think I would be like if I was a cat. Actually, I really want to write that, like, NOW.

3. Make more. I have oodles of time on my hands, so I might as well put it to good use and do a few DIYs. Particularly decor DIY’s which brings us to number……

4. Decorate my bedroom. I am always doing it, then putting it off, then doing it again, but this summer…. I shall decorate until there is nothing left to decorate.

5. Explore. Photowalks… everyone benefits, right?

6. Try my best to get tickets to Castlepalooza. I simply MUST.

7.  Make friendship bracelets and give them to strangers. Who doesn’t love a bit of friendliness, however random it may be. So, watch out, people in Tullamore, a randomer giving out friendship bracelets is around somewhere!

8.  Cycle with no destination. Fun.

DIY’s I Came Across And Really Did Mean To Make But Never Did

This is a post containing four DIYs I came across and meant to make and never did. Admit it, we all have done it….. There is a fly in the room now and he isreally starting to bug me. Anyway! Here!

This first one is a mini easel from AY Hand Crafts.

Here I found 18 different ways to repurpose old glasses, lenses and frames! seeing as I wear glasses I can do a lot of these NOW, but what is stopping you going out and buying a pair of cheapo sunglasses or specs? The people behind these ideas are located at The ReFab Diaries.

i think these are so pretty, and Mollie would love them! They will also photograph really cutely. I found this at An Everyday Story.

This Hello DIY, found at Skunkboy Blog, is super super cute.

Eight Things To Do During The Summer

I have created a bucket list for summer 2012. I am GOING to do do these eight things, if it takes me through volcanic acid or swarms of bees, I will do it.

1. Bake more.

Fun.

My Sneaking Tears by Mark R. Slaughter

It’s raining so, so heavily today. So I found a cutesy rain poem and a beauts picture. I would have gone and taken my own, but… it’s raining.

How heavy fell the rain that day
From burdened clouds of mournful grey.
The torrent forced them stay their height –
Composure swayed by onerous might.

My skin wrung wet with icy chill
As mud embraced that sodden hill;
But mind of mine had elsewhere gone –
‘Twas clouds abandoned I was on.

The driving drops advanced their gears
To camouflage my sneaking tears –
Whence now did swell such floods of pain
To see me melt into this rain…

On equal bearing now were we:
This rain, myself, in harmony.

Pinterest

I recently joined Pinterest, and it is utterly amazeballs. I am mad busy and bored at the same time because its coming to the end of the school year! Go me. I have gotten a new haircut. I think it is verrry short. That is literally all that has been going on in my life at the moment… come to me summer! Oh, by the way, that isnt my haircut, that was taken a while ago.

Hmmm.

I am off school today! Yay for days off because of the referendum! Tomorrow I’m headed to a music final that a friend is doing as the last exam of his degree, but we get to go and watch… fun. So  expect cool photos back. I can’t actually post any pictures today because I’m not on my own computer, so sorry about that. Today is one of those days where it’s raining (yeah, that heatwave was shortlived) and you have a severely cute outfit on and have nowhere to go in it? Yeah.

Just The Past Few Days

I’m back in the playsuits! At the moment our “heatwave” is struggling, but we’re staying positive, thinking we’ll get a summer worth dressing up over! I’m wearing my favourite playsuit today, and I took a snapshot of a cute pair of shoes and my FAVOURITE SUNGLASSES IN THE WORLD, may they rest in peace because they broke yesterday too. Have skinned knees and elbows because of a bouncing castle at my friend’s confirmation yesterday, and we had an epic waterfight- I just looked like a rat afterwards because my hair was stuck to my face. Enjoyed it though!
